The Cartagena City Council has designed a special traffic device for the May Day bridge. As explained by the Councilor for Citizen Security, Juan Pedro Torralba, there will be a total of 376 local police officers who will be responsible for maintaining security on the roads of the municipality.

“The device we have designed includes 105 controls to be installed during these three days on the main access roads to the city and to our beaches, ” said the mayor.

Thus, from today, May 1st, the roads of the municipality will have 121 Local Police officers, divided into 3 shifts, in 35 control points.

For tomorrow, May 2, the special device includes 129 agents in 36 controls, and on Sunday the 3rd there will be 34 controls supervised by 126 municipal police.

The objective is to avoid unnecessary displacement and ensure that citizens, both from the municipality and from other provinces, comply with the restrictions still in force by the State of Alarm decreed by the State Government, especially after the entry into force on Saturday of a new de-escalation phase that will allow citizens to go for a walk and do sports with territorial and time limitations .
